Recently, we found some abnormal infrared spectra reported in biochar researches. Parts of these spectra have similar (or nearly the same) but small signals (please find the examples below). If they are real signals from the samples, what were their origin? The studies did not give any explanation about it. Concerns are raised about the turnover time (from submitted to accepted) for Golubnitschaja's publications on EPMA Journal, where she also plays the role of Editor in Chief.
These cases demonstrate that the Clarivate profiles are unreliable to be used as a index to judge the academic outcomes for the researchers. The 5GH team urges Clarivate to fix this problem.
