Abnormal Turnover Time for Golubnitschaja's Publications on EPMA Journal

Concerns are raised about the turnover time (from submitted to accepted) for Golubnitschaja's publications on EPMA Journal, where she also plays the role of Editor in Chief.

From 2021 to recently (September 10th, 2024), Golubnitschaja has published 32 articles on EPMA Journal, 12 research articles, 18 reviews, and 2 letters to the editor. The turnover time from submitted to accepted ranged from 2 days to 36 days, with mean time of 10 days and median time of 6 days. Over 60% (20 articles) had a turnover time less than 10 days.

It is not clear whether such short turnover time was affected by the "Reject & Resubmit" policies, which is controversial among the scientific community. On the other hand, Golubnitschaja is the editor in chief of EPMA Journal, this raise questions if she took advantages of her role as editor in chief to publish her articles.

The scientific community urges the publisher, Springer Nature, to open an investigation on this matter.
