Unusual Author Pattern on Some Papers by ZHOU, Di

Recently, the 5GH team found some unusual authorship pattern on ZHOU's papers.

ZHOU was listed as a co-author, and he was the only one author from China, none of his team members in Xi'an Jiaotong University was listed as the co-authors. Other co-authors were from Russia, Middle East, and other countries.

Considering ZHOU is the leader of a large group (more than 30 students were listed on his website), and he is are one of the top administratives for a key laboratory of the Ministry of Education, we hardly think ZHOU conducted the experiments, and/or visualized the data, as mentioned on the papers.

Therefore, the ZHOU's authorship on these papers is questionable.

Ask for Input: Are They Real Signals or Copy-Paste

Recently, we found some abnormal infrared spectra reported in biochar researches. Parts of these spectra have similar (or nearly the same) but small signals (please find the examples below). If they are real signals from the samples, what were their origin? The studies did not give any explanation about it. Or if they are noises, do these similar/same noises suggest copy-past from one to the other? The 5GH welcome input at 5GH@5gh.org.cn
