Daily Energy Consumption in China


According to the data from the Statistics Bureau of China, energy equal to 14.408 million ton standard coal was consumed each day on average, 3 times of the value (4.793 million ton) in the year 2003. Daily electricity consumption increased from 5.21 billion kWh (2003) to 23.34 billion kWh (2021), daily natural gas consumption increased from 90 million cubic meter (2003) to 1.03 billion cubic meter, daily crude oil consumption increased from 683 thousand ton (2003) to 1.981 million ton (2021), and daily coal consumption reached 11.769 million ton in 2021.
