How Much Electricity Was Consumed in Different Provinces
According to the data from the Statistics Bureau, Guangdong, Shangdong, and Jiangsu were the top 3 provinces, whose electricity consumption reached 787 billion kWh, 756 billion kWh, and 740 billion kWh, respectively, in 2022. Guangdong's electricity consumption in 2022 (787 billion kWh) was 6 times as that in 2000 (134 billion kWh). Zhejiang's Electricity consumption in 2022 was about 580 billion kWh. Sichuan was the top province in the western China, its electricity consumption in 2021 reached 329 billion kWh, 3 times as that in 2005 (102 billion kWh).
