How Many Researchers in Each Nation?


According to the data from UN [1], Republic of Korea has the highest number of researchers per million, and the number reached 9081 in the year of 2021, followed by Sweden (8131), Finland (7871), Demark (7708), and Norway (7228).

China has 1687 researchers per million population, one fifth of the number from Korea. This number (1687 per million) was smaller than those from Hong Kong (4586) and Macao (4132).

However, the number of researchers per million in China increased by39% in the five-year time from 2016 to 2021, faster than the above-mentioned nations. At the meantime, the number of researchers per million increased by 58% in Macao, and increased by 37% in Belgium.

Among the nations with top numbers of researchers per million, Denmark was the only nation whose number decreased (by 2%) in the same period

Editors Behind Santosh's Papers

Recently, the 5GH team and independent investigator(s) examined Santosh's papers on Geoscience Frontiers (GEOSCI FRONT), Gondwana Research (GONDWANA RES), Geosystems and Geoenvironment (GEO GEO), Geological Journal (GEOL J) from 2020 to recently, and found 65% (99/152) of the pepers wih authore-editor conflict.
