Editors Behind Santosh's Papers
M Santosh is a hyper productive author in China University of Geosciences Beijing. According to the record from Google Scholar, Santosh published about 60 papers in the first 5 monthes in 2024. However, some of his papers raised concerns about author-editor conflict [1].
Recently, the 5GH team and independent investigator(s) examined Santosh's papers on Geoscience Frontiers (GEOSCI FRONT), Gondwana Research (GONDWANA RES), Geosystems and Geoenvironment (GEO GEO), Geological Journal (GEOL J) from 2020 to recently, and found 65% (99/152) of the pepers wih authore-editor conflict.
The highest proportion was observed on Geoscience Frontiers. From 2020 to recently, Santosh published 39 papers on it, 37 (95%) of them with authore-editor conflict, felloewd by Geological Journal (61%), Gondwana Research (54%), and Geosystems and Geoenvironment (36%).
