Image Duplication in 10.1016/j.apmate.2024.100202

Recently, the 5GH team fond image duplication in a paper [1], titled "Bound-state electrons synergy over photochromic high-crystalline C3N5 nanosheets in enhancing charge separation for photocatalytic H2 production", and authored by SHEN Yu et. al.

The Figure 2e shows two images (red rectangles) of the sample before and after reaction, and the 5GH team believes that they are duplicated. These two images suggest that the dish was put at the SAME position under the light twice, because the bright spots caused by the light was observed at SAME position on the dish (red arrows), and it seems inpossible to put a dish at SAME position twice.

It is likely that the images were duplicated in this paper [1], but it is unclear whether it was caused by honest mistake or intentional misconduct. Therefore, the 5GH team asks for further investigation by the publisher.
