A Editor in Non-coding RNA Research Has Abnormal Publication Records
Recently, the team from 5GH Foundation finds that Ozal Beylerli co-authors in 30 papers in Non-coding RNA Research, an academic journal with the Chinese publisher KeAi. These papers were published from 2021 to most recently, with co-authors from Russia and China.
Some of the papers were submitted within a very short period, such as 2 papers were submitted on September 9th, 2021, 3 papers were submitted from October 13th-14th, 2022, 6 papers were submitted from January 14th-20th, 2023, and 3 papers were submitted from November 23rd-26th, 2023.
Ozal Beylerli claimed different affilications in different papers, including Рeoples’ Friendship University of Russia, Bashkir State Medical University, Federal Center of Neurosurgery, and Harbin Medical University. After checking the their e-mail address, the 5GH team is confident that these Ozal Beylerli were a same person, suggesting that he and his co-authors massively produced "academic" papers.
According to the journal's official website, Ozal Beylerli is one of the editor team members. Although there is no derict evidence suggesitng the journal took part in academic misconduct, these abnormal publications with Ozal Beylerli indicate the journal's poor manegement and low quarlity of the papers on Non-coding RNA Research.
